Nakul Kohli

Nakul Kohli founded Balance Law Professional Corporation with a clear purpose: to deliver institutional quality legal and tax advice to clients who deserve better than generic counsel.

Before founding Balance Law, Nakul trained and practiced at three of Canada’s most prominent professional services firms: RSM Canada, PwC Canada LLP, and KPMG Law LLP. This institutional foundation gives him a depth of exposure to complex domestic and international tax structures, cross border transactions, and high stakes tax controversy matters that is rare in a boutique practice.

Nakul holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Master of Laws (LLM), and has completed the CPA Tax In Depth course, one of the most rigorous advanced tax credentials available in Canada. This combination of legal qualification and accounting level tax expertise allows him to advise on matters that sit at the intersection of law and tax with a precision and technical depth that few practitioners can offer.

At Balance Law, Nakul leads the team across practices in tax law, corporate and commercial law, wills and estate planning, and real estate. He is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO #77697H) and advises clients across Ontario and nationally on matters before the Federal Court of Canada, the Tax Court of Canada, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and various administrative tribunals.
